BUSY PLANNING

For the last few months Barry & I have been busy planning the itinerary for our upcoming trip to America and Canada.  Our flight has been booked for sometime along with our 1st week
accommodation in New York.  We have been making the most of all the wet weekends looking
for car hire, other accommodation, flights to and from US to Canada and generally planning how many days to spend in each city/town we intend visiting.  As we have 4 full days in New York, this time I hope to explore and see more of Grand Central Park especially as it will be spring time.  We also want to experience  more of the neighbourhoods on Manhattan Is.  I have found a "food walk tour" in the area of Chinatown & Little Italy, which then goes over the Brooklyn Bridge. Looks interesting and a different experience. Looking forward to that.  Our plan so far is to drive to Gettysburg, on to Charlottesville, Virginia to take in more American history.  One day will be at Dayton where Barry will spend his time absorbed in an aircraft museum. (Yes another one)

A Queenslander drives this car I think.
Surprise surprise also at this time is the lead up for the Indy 500 (motor racing), so we will go to one of the practice days, with lots of ear plugs.  Our road trip ends in Chicago, where I hope to catch a baseball game, even if it is only junior league, should be fun.  That takes care of 19 days.
The next 12 days will be spent in Quebec, Montreal and Toronto.  Quebec is all settled with where to stay and what to see but plans for Montreal and Toronto (except for Niagara Falls) aren't finalised.   Fly back to New York for 3 more days where we thought we may stay in Brooklyn doing a little more sight seeing and having a rest before jetting back to Australia.

  1. Whoo hoo that sounds like a lot of fun but a lot of work planning. You are getting the hang of blogging. I hope to get time next week to show you how to make adjustments and customise your blog.
