GETTING STARTED

Oh no I accidentally deleted my first writing post today, but was lucky that I had written it first as a word document. This is it now.
I really hadn't given any thought or shown an interest in having a BLOG or becoming a BLOGGER, until Bill and Diane from Logan U3A Camera Club decided to hold a new course on how to set up our own site.  So along I went mainly with an interest in learning how to blog our upcoming trip to America.  After a few hiccups with my little netbook, What's Around the Corner? was established as my blog.  The class goes for 2 hours and is held in a relaxed environment and we have a few laughs especially the moments when Bill jumps ahead of the programme and Diane has to point her teacher's cane at him to bring him back on track.  Seems to me that all husbands have the same problem - if I keep clicking, clicking, clicking this mouse thing maybe it will work.  Sorry Bill. I have enjoyed the last 3 weeks' lessons and next will be our last.  Today Kathy gave a talk on how to blog on an IPad and all the different features or apps (as they are called) that are available.  I wondered whether I should persuade my husband to buy me one.  I have nearly completed my homework by making my Blog and am surprised that so far everything is ok.  I am sure the Camera Club members attending the next course will also get a lot of satisfaction from establishing their Blogs or at least a few laughs during their lessons.

  3. You can change the date on this post so that it goes back to where it was before you deleted it. Let me think .......where can we do this... Okay got it. Go to 'posts' click 'edit' when you are on the edit page on the right hand side it says 'post settings' underneath it says 'published on" click that and a calendar appears just click the date you want it to say and then click 'done' then click "Update " at the top of the post. Voila it will appear under your new post. God luck and well done so far. We had the new group today. It was hard trying to get them all to stay on the same page and lead them trough making a google account and create a blog.
